"Disaster Years" ... Earth-changes; by Jack Kinsella --
July 16, 2005
Noted
the UN's World Meteorological Organization on July 2, 2003,
New record extreme events occur every year somewhere in the
globe, but in recent years the number of such extremes have been
increasing.
In addition, there has been a corresponding spike in interest
(and fear) of an impending meteor strike somewhere on the earth.
Literally billions of dollars have already been spent preparing
for the next 'Big One' -- although the last Big One, according to
secular science, hit the earth some 85,000 years ago.

Solar Flares, RADIATION and Cancer
(CME's) Coronal Mass Ejections...solar

Solar Cycle 24 ( 11 years ) began
Jan 6-08 .... threat to electricity -- Jan. 8, 2008
The new 11-year cycle, called Solar
Cycle 24, is expected to build gradually, with the number of
sunspots and solar storms reaching a
maximum by 2011 or 2012, ( Ed:
right about the time of Armageddon ??? ) though devastating storms can occur at any time.
During a solar storm, highly charged material
ejected from the sun may head toward Earth, where it can bring down power grids, disrupt critical
communications, and threaten astronauts with harmful
radiation. Storms can also knock out commercial communications
satellites and swamp Global Positioning System signals. Routine
activities such as talking on a cell phone or getting money from
an ATM machine could suddenly halt over a large part of the
globe.

Solar Flares disrupt GPS -- Oct. 2, 2006 ( God is greater than
technology )
Fiery discharges from the sun could disrupt
Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, according to new
research
Since solar
flares are somewhat unpredictable, the scientist said such
disruptions could cause problems for safety-of-line
operations, including navigating passenger jets, stabilizing oil
rigs and locating mobile
phone distress calls.
The researchers suggested the reason the flares cause signal loss
is due to the accompanying solar radio bursts. These bursts occur
over the same frequency bands at which the GPS satellites
transmit, so they can cause receivers to become confused and lose
their signal

EU decides not to worry about your radiation --
Sept. 8, 2005
The plenary in Strasbourg supported the health and safety
directive on optical radiation as a whole on Wednesday (7
September), but MEPs voted down a proposal that the measures
included in it should also cover natural source of radiation -
sunlight.
Jean Lambert, UK Green coordinator of the employment committee,
said "Today's vote is a blow to workers across Europe. Skin
cancer is the same regardless of whether you catch it from
artificial or natural radiation, so by voting to exclude natural
radiation from the directive, the conservatives and liberals have
tried to undermine European health and safety standards".

The European Commission was supposed to work out a
list of rules for employers to follow in order to protect
their employees from excessive sunlight [ Ed : RADIATION ]

Industry expected that they might include scientific risk
assessments and detailed action plans, which would be burdensome,
mainly for small and medium sized firms."

Skin Cancer to triple --March 23, 2005
There are more than 7,300 cases of malignant melanoma -
the deadliest form of skin cancer - diagnosed in the UK each

Rates of malignant melanoma are rising faster than any other type

skin-cancer among teenagers, children -- April 28, 2005
Deadliest skin cancer ; stay in the shade; avoid the sun
There's an appropriate level of alarm here,"
Mancini said. "Clearly it's happening and it's deadly,
Balch said reasons for the increase are
uncertain. Some doctors think it might be from depletion of the
ozone layer, which protects the Earth from some of the sun's
damaging ultraviolet radiation. Others attribute it to excessive
sun exposure and blistering sunburns in early childhood,
Melanoma prevalence has risen in adults, too - more
than doubling in the past 30 years, according to the
cancer institute. And the American Cancer Society estimates that
this year about 60,000 U.S. adults will be diagnosed with
melanoma and that 7,700 will die from it.
But half the Italian children studied had
lighter-colored lesions, and most had well-defined borders.
Also unlike adults, most children with melanoma have
no family history of the disease, and they may lack
other risk factors including moles present since birth, Balch
said.

Sun spots reach 1,000 year high -- July 6, 2004
But the most striking feature, he says, is that
looking at the past 1,150 years the Sun has never been as
active as it has been during the past 60 years.
The data suggests that changing solar activity is influencing in
some way the global climate causing the world to get warmer. Over
the past 20 years, however, the number of sunspots has remained
roughly constant, yet the average temperature of the Earth
has continued to increase.
This is put down to a human-produced greenhouse effect caused by
the combustion of fossil fuels. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/low/science/nature/3869753.stm
Radiation levels to increase ?
--Feb 14, 2003
Previously undetected moisture and clouds between about 5
and 9 miles high (8-14 kilometers) probably have little effect on
daily weather forecasts, but their omission may be corrupting our
view of long-term climate. On average, cirrus clouds tend
to warm the planet, as they allow sunlight to enter the
atmosphere while trapping radiation emitted from the ground.

who led the research, said: "The Sun has been at its
strongest over the past 60 years and may now be affecting global

Summer Heat will cause deadly OZONE -- May 10, 2004
Thousands of Britons may be forced to wear charcoal masks and
stay indoors this summer to avoid deadly fogs of ozone that will
pollute the country during heatwaves, scientists have warned.
They have discovered that last August's heatwave caused plants
and trees to release waves of a chemical called isoprene,
which contributes to the production of ozone in the air.
Scientists now believe ozone killed up to 600 people last summer.
When plants are short of water, they produce even more.
Ozone, which is particularly dangerous for children, old
people and asthmatics, is produced when strong sunlight breaks up
the nitrogen oxides released by car exhausts.[ what

SCARCITY of FOOD,
summer of 2003 heatwave--- September 1, 2003
Separate calculations by two leading institutions monitoring the
global harvest show that the scorching weather has
severely reduced European grain production,
ensuring that the world will not produce enough to feed itself for
the fourth year in succession, and plunging stocks
to the lowest level on record. And experts predict that the
damage to crops will be found to be even greater when the full
cost of the heat is known.
They say that, as a result, food prices will rise
worldwide, and hunger will increase in the world's
poorest countries. And they warn that this is just a foretaste
of what will happen as global warming takes hold.
The final tally of the summer's damage is likely to be
worse still. Lester Brown, the president of Washington's
authoritative Earth Policy Institute, predicts that it will cut
another 20 million tons off the world harvest, making this a
catastrophic year.

The European Environment Agency has warned that
countries need to take more action on climate change as the
number of weather and climate related disasters doubles.
In a report published this week, the EEA warns that the number of
weather and climate related disasters in Europe doubled during
the 1990s with an average cost of 10 billion euro a year, and
rising.

Strong
Artificial Shield to deflect the Sun - Jan. 11, 2004
Key talks involving the Government's most senior climate
experts have produced proposals to site a massive shield
on the edge of space that would deflect the Sun's rays and
stabilise the climate.
Hundreds of thousands of tonnes of metallic 'scatterers' would
be ejected into the upper atmosphere under the plans. In
addition, billions of tiny barrage balloons could serve as a
secondary barrier to block rays from the Earth's nearest star.
On land, giant reservoirs holding saline water could be built to
offset the rise in sea levels caused by the melting of the polar
ice-caps. The oceans, too, would be modified to cope with the
planet's increasingly warmer weather. Massive floating
cloud-making machines would be dotted across their surface while,
below, large plantations of algae would be grown to absorb
greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
Extreme technological fixes include deploying tens
of billions of wafer-thin metal plates less than a centimetre
wide into the Earth's low orbit via space rockets. These
would be specially built to allow space-bound rays to pass while
at the same time absorbing a significant amount of solar energy
before bouncing it back into space. They would be designed to
stay in place for a century.
Similar solutions include the release of massive nets of
ultra-fine metal mesh into the upper atmosphere by aircraft to
prevent the Sun's rays from reaching Earth.
Alternatively, millions of metallic-coated super-pressure
balloons - similar in design to a children's party version,
although a fraction of the size - would be filled with helium and
released until they reach the stratosphere 35,000ft above the
Earth. Trapped in parcels of air, they would stay up for about
five years before falling to earth and being replaced.
All the methods are designed to block about 1 per cent of the
Sun's rays, enough to protect at least one million square
kilometres of the Earth and significantly cool the planet.

The
Pentagon and climate change--March 2004
The case for angst was buttressed by a theory
regarded as the most likely explanation for the abrupt changes.
The eastern U.S. and northern Europe, it seems, are warmed by a
huge Atlantic Ocean current that flows
north from the tropicsthat's why Britain, at Labrador's
latitude, is relatively temperate. Pumping out warm, moist air,
this
"great conveyor" current
gets cooler and denser as it moves north. That causes the current
to sink in the North Atlantic, where it heads south again in the
ocean depths. The sinking process draws more water from the
south, keeping the roughly circular current on the go.
But when the climate warms, according to the theory, fresh water
from melting Arctic glaciers flows into the North Atlantic,
lowering the current's salinityand its density and tendency
to sink. A warmer climate also increases rainfall and runoff into
the current, further lowering its saltiness. As a result, the
conveyor loses its main motive force and can rapidly collapse,
turning off the huge heat pump and altering the climate over much
of the Northern Hemisphere.

Antarctica & Greenland ice shelves melting rapidly -- Jan.
14, 2008
Causing sea levels to rise
Rignot said the tonnage of yearly ice loss in
Antarctica is approaching that of Greenland, where ice sheets are
known to be melting rapidly in some parts and where ancient
glaciers have been in retreat. He said the change in Antarctica
could become considerably more dramatic because the continent's
western shelf, an expanse of ice and snow roughly the size of
Texas, is largely below sea level and has broad and flat expanses
of ice that could move quickly. Much of Greenland's ice flows
through relatively narrow valleys in mountainous terrain, which
slows its motion.
The new finding comes days after the head of the
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said the group's next
report should look at the "frightening" possibility
that ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica could melt rapidly at
the same time

Rapid warming in Arctic-- October 25,2003
A NASA satellite survey of the Arctic has revealed
just how rapidly the region is warming. The overall trend of rising temperature over the past 20 years is
eight times higher than that recorded by ground measurements over
the past century.
The satellite observations are vital because they can cover the whole Arctic, not just the regions accessible to researchers on the surface. The data also shows that summer sea ice cover is continuing its retreat.
"Climate is changing, the Arctic is changing
rapidly, and it has significant effects on lower latitudes,"
said Mark Serreze, of the University of Colorado in Boulder, at a
press conference on Thursday.

Arctic's Largest Ice Shelf Melting --Sept. 22, 2003
A large ice shelf that has jutted into
the Arctic Ocean from the northernmost part of Canada for at
least 3,000 years has broken up over the last two years,
providing fresh evidence that the region is warming past
thresholds that can produce abrupt changes,
scientists said on Monday.
For thousands of years, the 150-square-mile
(389-square-kilometer) region of floating ice, called the Ward
Hunt Ice Shelf, had formed a cap across the mouth of the
20-mile-long (32-kilometer-long) Disraeli Fjord on Ellesmere
Island, in the Canadian territory of Nunavut. In so doing, it
created a rare condition in which a 140-foot-thick (43-meter)
layer of fresh water accumulated atop the denser seawater in the
1,200-foot-deep fjord, forming an isolated floating freshwater
lake.
The Ward Hunt Ice Shelf is generally dozens of yards thick
far more massive than the 10-foot-thick slabs of floating sea ice
that form a milling cap on the Arctic Ocean. The pieces could
persist for many years as they start to drift in Arctic waters,
the authors said.

Alaskan Icebergs melting faster --July 18-2002
The whole issue of global climate change is
important to everyone," said glacier expert Anthony Arendt
of the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. "The whole issue
of sea-level change affects people who live near the coast quite
directly. Just small changes in sea level can
cause very large
incursions of water up along the
coast and can destroy valuable property there. It can move people
away from their homes."
Arendt and his colleagues used a technology called laser
altimetry to measure volume changes of 67
Alaskan glaciers over four decades.
The study found that the Alaskan glaciers were thinning
enough to produce a sea-level rise of about .14 millimeters per
year -- melting almost twice as fast as the Greenland ice sheet,
the researchers said.

4,000 mile NorthWest Passage---Aug 30-2002
The fabled route runs below Iceland and
Greenland, through the Arctic archipelago in northern Canada, and
along the northern coast of Alaska between the Pacific and
Atlantic oceans.
An ice-free Northwest Passage would let ships traveling between Europe and Asia shave more than 4,000 miles off the route through the Panama Canal and would allow ships to avoid the occasional delays and the passage fees of the canal.
In addition, many of the largest container and tanker
ships cannot fit in the 88-year-old canal, forcing shippers to
use smaller vessels or to take the even longer, more treacherous
route around South America's Cape Horn.

Northern Arctic melt:

"And that is when security headaches
for the West will begin. While Canada holds the North-West

northern sea route in a similar manner, the United States

The area promises to become a new confrontation zone and will
have to be patrolled by surface vessels for the first time. And
as New Scientist points out this week, that raises major
technological problems. Modern warships rely on sonar, which does
not work effectively in the Arctic, for ice complicates the way
sound travels in water.

Instead of having that level storm once in 100 years,

Category 1 hurricane," she said.
Rosenzweig heads Columbia's Climate Impacts Group, a consortium of academic centers and government agencies that completed a federal study in 2002 on the potential impact of rising sea levels on a 31-county metropolitan area. The region included New York City north to Sullivan and Duchess counties, Long Island, 14 counties in northern New Jersey and three in Connecticut.
The "Climate Change and a Global City" study,
commissioned by the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric
Administration and the National Science Foundation, projects the
level of oceans and tidal estuaries worldwide including
the Atlantic Ocean and Hudson River estuary will rise
between 4 and 12 inches by 2020, with an ultimate increase of 9.5
to 42.5 inches by 2080.
The oceans' rise stems from increasing temperatures that are
melting parts of the polar ice caps, and glaciers in Greenland
and the Himalayas.

These outlets are controlled by gravity and water pressure, with
storm water and treated sewage flowing out during periods of low
tide. If the water level is two or three feet higher, the
existing system may not work without the addition of pumping

What does the
Bible say about GLOBAL WARMING?
![]()
"Moreover the
light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun,
and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold,
as the light of seven days,
in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of His people,
and healeth the stroke of their wound."
Isaiah 30:26
Lunar-Solar Power beams
(LSP) -- Nov. 7, 2003 Dr. D. Criswell
Solar power bases will be built on the Moon that collect a small
fraction of the Moon's dependable solar power and
convert it into power beams that will
dependably deliver lunar solar power to receivers on Earth.
On Earth each power beam will be
transformed into electricity and distributed, on-demand, through
local electric power grids. Each terrestrial receiver can accept
power directly from the Moon or indirectly, via relay satellites,
when the receiver cannot view the Moon. The intensity of each
power beam is restricted to 20%, or less, of the intensity of
noontime sunlight. Each power beam can be safely received,
for example, in an industrially zoned area.
The Lunar Solar Power (LSP) System
does not require basic new technological developments. Adequate
knowledge of the Moon and the essential technologies have been
available since the late 1970s to design, build, and operate the
LSP System

"For behold the day cometh, that shall burn
as an oven;
and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be
stubble:
and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of
hosts (Sabaoth),
that it shall leave them neither root nor branch."
Malachi 4:1
And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the SUN;
and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire,
And men were scorched with great heat,
and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these
plagues
and they repented not to give Him glory."
Revelation 16:8,9

"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow (CME's) that flieth by day;
nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."
Psalm 91:5, 6
"The LORD is thy Keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy
right hand,
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the
moon by night."
Psalm 121:5, 6
"They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
For the LAMB which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them
,
and lead them unto living fountains of waters:
and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

The following website has interesting articles, however, we
believe the Bible when it says that men will
be scorched with a very great heat. Yes, global warming is here .
