The Book of
Esther is an exceptional
book in the Bible. It is filled with drama and intrigue, reveling
and fasting. It portrays courage in the face of execution.
Queen Esther is definitely the woman for the hour of this day and
this time.
She is no woman's libber--- rather she displays quiet confidence
in the power of God to protect her and her people.
The Book of Esther records how no one can come against God and
win. Proverbs 21:30
No one can come against God's people and win .......

A modern-day version of Israel's victory

BOOMERANG
THEOLOGY
Each day, many of us face battles with the enemy, Satan. People
who are ruled by Satan come against us any way they can.
Persecution can be relentless. We need to take a stand.
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye
may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand." Ephesians 6:13
We are to FIRST bind the strongman (devil)
over our situation and over our person.
Matthew 12:29 ......... Mark 3:27 ............. Luke 11:21
"For the weapons of our warfare are NOT carnal, but mighty
through God to the pulling down of strongholds". We
"pull down" the influence of Satan in the affairs of
men by praying against
his empire in Jesus' name. 2 Corinthians 10:4
Satan is the "prince of the power of the air" Ephesians 2:2
Under his influence are: principalities (locations) , powers
(political and monied persons), mights (wars, campaigns, debates)
and dominions (any aggressive person or thing). Ephesians 1:21
and thrones (governments) 1 Colossians 1:16
"Put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to
stand against the wiles (tricks, ploys, snares) of the devil.
For we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world (earth), against spiritual wickedness in high places
(middle heaven)." Ephesians 6:11,12
For now, Satan is called the "god of this world"( 2 Corinthians 4:4) , for as 1 John 5:19 tells us:
"the WHOLE WORLD lieth in wickedness"
Each and every day we are to "fight the good fight" of
resisting temptations, and asking God to help us in all our
trials. 1 Timothy 6:12 and 2 Timothy 4:7.
If we don't do our part, God is 'helpless' to do His part.
What is our part ?
"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with the
TRUTH." Ephesians 6:14
Have you told your Problem why they are a problem? If not, you
still have that problem and always will have that problem until
you are forthright enough to tell them what the problem is.
The TRUTH shall set you free. John 8:32
Silence will keep you in bondage and fear of their disapproval.
"Fear hath torment" 1 John 4:18
We are never to fear man's disapproval. Know for certain that God
approves us when we fight the good fight of Faith daily. His
approval is all we need.
God wants us to be separated from that which keeps us from a
closer relationship with Him.
Problem solving ..... Getting a perspective
It helps if we write the problem down on a piece of paper.
Then try to write the solution. Then ask God to give you the
courage to face your problem forthrightly and calmy...speaking
your TRUTH quietly and clearly. Be sure to ask Him to intervene
in your situation for good.
What else is our part ?
We are to "have on the breastplace of righteous".
Ephesians 6:14. That means doing what we know is Right.
"and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of
peace".
We are to study and to know the Word of God. And we are not
ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ nor are we afraid to quote
it, in the right spirit and attitude.
"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall
be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked".
Know that resistence will come, and then TRUST in God no matter
what. Have in store verses for yourself that withstand whatever
comes against you.
"They Word have I hid in my heart" Psalm 119:11
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God."
Knowing the Word of God---being familiar enough to quote
it---helps not only others, but also ourselves when trials come.
We build ourselves back up again by continuously pumping the Word
of God back into our minds in order to reject the rejections that
Satan throws at us. Without that rich reservoir of verses within
ourselves, we become easy prey for the devil.
Renewing the mind..... 2 Corinthians 4:16; Ephesians 4:23; Romans 12:2
"Brethren be sober and watch well. satan, who is your enemy,
goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. But
you--- grounded in the Faith (grounded in the WORD)--- must face
him boldly." 1 Peter 5:8, 9
As we wait upon the Lord, praying for His intervention into our
problems, the answers come. They don't always come right away,
but they do come. The wrong is overturned, and the situation is
made right. It requires patience...what the Bible calls
"longsuffering"....one of the fruits of the Holy
Spirit. Galatians 5:22
It is then that we see Boomerang Theology in action. What others
meant for evil, God turns around and makes for good. Genesis 50:20
And many times the evil that others plot against us, falls back
upon themselves, as is the case in the Book of Esther...the theme
behind PURIM.

GOD'S STRANGE
WORK
As the Great Tribulation comes upon us, God will be working His
"strange work". Isaiah 28:21
This will be a time when God helps us individually, but
externally it appears as if evil will triumph over good.
"Because sentence against an evil work is not executed
speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in
them to do evil." Ecclesiastes 8:11
But we must ever keep in mind that "Vengeance is Mine... I
WILL repay" Romans 12:19.
Count on it. Armegedon is coming, when ALL unrighteousness will
be put down and righteousness will reign Daniel 9:24.
Armageddon is the ultimate PURIM.
COMMITMENT
Chapter 4 of the Book of Esther is highly relevant for today's
Church, as Queen Esther shows us all how to take a stand, despite
privilege ..... to throw off the cloak of carnal security, and to
lean on the mighty arm of God.
"If I perish, I perish" Esther 4:16
Many people question why the word "God " does not
appear anywhere in the account of Esther. Simply because this is
about the WALK, and not the Talk.
How many of us quote verses of Scriptures, and yet have not died
to self?
How many of us say prayers, sing hymns, go through the motions
and drop the word "love" at every chance we get? Words
are meaningless without actions to back them up.
"Having a form of Godliness, but denying the power
thereof" 2 Timothy 3:5
It's like the old saying:
"What we ARE speaks so loudly , others can't hear what we're
saying".
There are many other words that do not appear in the Bible but
should appear in our lives...like "maturity" *,
"integrity" * etc.
What John Terry says is so true:
"Let us
live every day as Living Bibles,
as we may be the only Bible some people will read......
living our daily lives as Walking, Talking, Living, Breathing
Bibles.
May our lives so reflect the love and life of Jesus
that others are drawn to Him."
Living the Word, Walking the Walk is more important than talking
the talk.
You may not find the word "God " in Esther, but you
certainly will find Godliness.

worldwide, the story, based as it is in Persia, has special
resonance for the Jews of Iran. Recent decades have proved
difficult for Persian Jews, many of whom fled the country after
the 1979 Islamic Revolution. From a community of about 100,000,
an estimated 25,000 to 35,000 now remain
This month, Jews from across Iran will pray at a shrine in
Hamadan, in northwestern Iran, dedicated to the heroes of the
Purim story.
Though her original name, Hadassah, means
"hidden" in Hebrew, she is known as Esther. Scholar and
writer Haideh Sahim explains that "Esther" is derived
from the Persian word astaar, meaning "star." It is
believed that Esther and Mordecai were buried in the shrine at
Hamadan, originally called Hegmataneh, in the fifth century
B.C.E.
