EZEKIEL CHAPTER 32 ...sequence of wars
Before the Russian Invasion of
Israel, there is to be an Arab War against Israel.
We get this sequence of events from the 32nd Chapter of Ezekiel.
First
to be defeated is Asshur which is modern day Syria, and part of Iraq.
Russia
markets SA 18 missiles ( surface to air ) to Syria -- March 3, 2005
The vehicle used for the SA-18 has not yet been selected but
was expected to be the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle.

An
interim of "peace" will then follow, when Israel will
be "dwelling without walls", in "unwalled
villages"
safe from her border-enemies. Ezekiel 38:11
"And
thou shalt say,"I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that
are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates".
After
this short interim of peace, the Northern Confederacy of Gog -
Magog will make their move. According to Ezekiel 32, the next to
be defeated is the Russian Confederacy.

We
don't know when the following nations are to be defeated, but
they are mentioned coming after the Russian defeat.
"Edom" (Jordan and Saudi Arabia) , and the
Zidonians"( Lebanon) follow the Magog war later on in
defeat..
Lastly, Egypt and North African countries will find themselves in
the pit of Ezekiel 32.
AMOS
CHAPTER 5
We also
get a sequence of these wars in Amos 5:19
"As
if a man did flee from a lion, (
Syria )
and a bear met him; ( Russian
Confederacy)
or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall,
and a serpent bit him". ( Foreign
Forces...Abomination of Desolation )
Who is the lion? Asshur (Syria and part of Iraq). Remember, Iraq
is also ancient Babylon, and the famous gate of Babylon is the
Ishtar Gate, whereupon lions were enameled. That was "the
entrance" of Asshur.
MICAH 5
Here is
what Micah 5:6 says:
"And they shall waste the land of Assyria (Syria and part of
Iraq)
with the sword (bomb), and the land of Nimrod (Ancient
Babylon-Iraq) in the entrances thereof".
Well, the entrance to Iraq today is any of her borders, including
possibly her seaport on the Persian Gulf.
(Port
city: Abaddon ...see Rev. 9:11).
Will this be the US attack upon Iraq ? Will Iraq retaliate by
sending missiles to Israel ?
So the lion (Syria-Iraq) wages war with Israel ,and Israel
obtains the victory.
Then after an interim of time, the bear (Russian confederacy)
comes against the mountains of Israel, and again Israel obtains
the victory, by the sovereign power of God. Quite possibly in the
aftermath of WW 3, some other Arab nations attempt to finish off
the job.
First let us look at some more verses on Syria-Iraq :

Isaiah 14:24,25......"I will break the
Assyrian in My land, and upon My mountains tread him under foot:
then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart
from off their shoulders."
So we see then from many Scriptures that Syria will be defeated
soon by Israel along with part of Iraq.
Iraq is able to recover somewhat, for we are told that later the
Medes ( Iraq and Iran ) head up a confrontation with modern-day
Babylon.... America ?

PSALM
83
Concerning the Arab nations in general:
"They have said, 'Come, and let us cut them (Israelis) off
from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in
remembrance.
For they have consulted together with one consent: they are
confederate against Thee."
Psalm 83: 4, 5
Then
the psalmist names the confederates:
Edom and Moab and Ammon = Jordon .... "Edom" also includes
Saudi Arabia
"children of Lot" = Moab and Ammon
Ishmaelites= Saudi Arabia, Egypt
Hagarenes=
Egyptians (possibly North Africa: Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Algieria)
Gebal
and Tyre =
Lebanon
Amalek=
nomads of the Sinai Peninsula and Arabian deserts
Philistines= Gaza strip (today's PLO ?) Ramallah, West Bank
Asshur= Syria, part of Iraq
Ezekiel
gives us an idea of the judgments coming to these nations in
Ezekiel Chapters 27
through 32.
Judgments

and all the mingled people) CHUB=Sudan, Chad and the Arab League. Ezekiel 30
"And
there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel
from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be
sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen." Ezekiel 28:24
The
above verse is the termination of the PLO-Israeli problems, but
Israel will not dwell in complete peace until approximately
3 1/2 years later, after Armageddon.
Remember that verse about a "serpent" biting them in Amos 5:19
?
Well
sometime after both the Arab war and the Russian war, Jerusalem
is to be captured by the forces of the Gentiles, and
is to be trodden under for 3 1/2 years (Revelation / Apocalypse
11:2).
At the
end of those 3 1/2 years is the final battle of Armageddon fought in Megiddo,
Israel. The Lord Jesus Christ will be the Victor and from thence
forward He will reign in
Jerusalem for 1,000 years and mankind will learn war no more.
A
rebellion will be hatched at the end of those 1,000 years, but it
will never come to pass. It will be dealt with swiftly and
irrevocably. ( Revelation 20 )
