History verifies the Book of Jeremiah --July 23, 2007
"According to some experts, that proves that whoever wrote Jeremiah wasn't making it up. In the Book of Jeremiah Chapters 50 and Chapter 51,
we see that
the destiny of Babylon is intrinsically linked with the destiny of Jerusalem.
(It is not hard to see that America has all the ear-marks of being "Babylon".)
The alternating choruses in these two Chapters of Jeremiah show that what we have done unto her, HE shall do unto us.

The coming assaults prophesied upon our nation are two-fold in time.
Some will occur very soon (mid-Trib, which is now).
WW 3 at mid-trib
And some will occur at END-Trib,
( 3 1/2 years later) which is discussed in section two of "The Eagle has Fallen".

Let us take a close look at the prophecies of Jeremiah Chapters 50 and 51 concerning
"Babylon"..."the hindermost of nations"... the last great nation in history.(Jer. 50:12).
Let us examine the reports of an imminent attack.

1. NORTH KOREAN THREAT

Jeremiah 50:3...."Babylon"- USA struck from a SINGLE nation
It appears from Jer. 50:3 that a strike is made against "Babylon"-USA just prior to the Great Tribulation..

"For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast".
Since "a nation" is a solitary nation, we must conclude that this strike from the north is not the strike of the Russian-Confederated nations. This strike is from a single solitary nation...a nation such as NORTH Korea.

We know that this preemptive missile strike occurs just before the Great Tribulation, for in the verse immediately following (Jer. 50:4) it speaks of Jews leaving the country for Isreal.
So even though this missile strike is debilitating, it is not totally crushing.
There will be time for people to escape the greater judgements befalling our land.

Jeremiah 51:1

2. THE RUSSIAN THREAT

TWO DIFFERENT TIMES
It appears from Scripture that Russia attacks the U.S. in a limited way ( our troops ? ) at Mid-trib (just prior to the Great-Tribulation.)
This attack, we feel, ushers in "The Day of the Lord".
( Rev. 6:12-17, Zephaniah, Rev. 14:8 and Rev. 18 )

And then she strikes again ( 3 1/2 years later at END Trib ) in concert with other nations for a total all-out devastation of "Great Babylon", meaning the entire nation. (Jeremiah 50:9 through end of Jeremiah 51)

FIRST ATTACK : IN ONE HOUR
REVELATION CHAPTER 18

"Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues Revelation 18:4.............

"her plagues come in ONE DAY:
"Death, and Mourning, and Famine...

There are times when people are wholly dependent upon charity for a season.
It is at that time that we should help in whatever way we can.

Most people become independent when given a choice. We should help them do so.
We ought never to inculcate a system of dependency, for able bodied men.
"Faith-based" is a system whereby church-organizations become dependent on government subsidies (grants with regulations).

Mothers ought not to work outside the home while raising children.
Assistance should be given her.

"I think that rather than wasting our time and his time trying to tell us what to do and how to do it, I think he should go back to his country, fix his economy and stop sending his social problems to the United States," said Assemblyman Ray Haynes, R-Murrieta.
