Office of Faith- Based and Community Initiative :
God-Based Charities were doing just fine
when we all had bell ringers on street corners.
But because the God-based Charities were in control of their own
programs,
the secularists cried:
"we need separation of God from the public square"
(not to mention the fact that God-based programs were producing
RESULTS )
Now that Government wants the control, there is no outcry of
"Separating State from Church"
Let's get back to the original way:
God-based Charities sharing the Living Water along with the Food.
Faith-Based programs are giving a cup of water, while denying
God's name.
Mark 9:41
If money is that important, it becomes filthy-lucre.

Jesus did not come to make social-Saviors out of us.

He came because our hearts are so deceitfully wicked, that we
call bad: "good".

Jesus came because WE are in need of a soul-Savior...
a Savior who died for us so that we could have a personal
Relationship with Him
for all eternity.

WE are basically on the receiving end.
"Works" falsely casts us into the "giving

"A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from
heaven.."

A Program of social "works" puts secular humanity
first.
It doesn't put God second. It totally excludes God.
All our works are as filthy rags.

The FIRST commandment is:
Thou shalt Love the Lord thy God with thy WHOLE heart, mind,
soul, might and being.

THE SECOND COMMANDMENT
We are to love our neighbor as ourselves.
This love of neighbor is second to our love of self
(charity begins at home)
Ourselves , then we love our neighbor accordingly.
Faith-Based Programs inverts the order.
It puts social-engineering first, right along with government.
The true order of things is this:
God first.
Myself and family next.
My neighbor third.
See how inverted the order becomes in Faith-Based charities ?
God isn't first, second or third.... or even last.
He just isn't included at all.
Seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and all these things
(necessities of life)
will be added unto you.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not onto thine

These people performed acts of mercy without a middle-man....
no government programs...just one-on-one.....the way it was meant
to be.
The Good Samaritan in Luke 10: 30-37 responded one-on-one.
There is no mention of a governmental middle-man at all.
