Daniel Chapters 10 and 11 and 12 are all one vision. They are the fullest description of the Great Tribulation that appears in Scripture. They go so far as to even number the days. This will be Daniel's last vision given by God. It was recorded very late in his life---while he was in his nineties--under King Cyrus, the king foretold in Scripture who would sign the release for the Jews to return to their homeland.

Because the following two chapters ( 11 and 12 ) are so heavy with sorrow, Daniel must be explained some things in advance. Chapter 10 is that Prelude Chapter.

First we find Daniel in mourning. We are not told what sorrow has overtaken him, but we are told that he fasted from eating desserts ( pleasant bread) and meats ( flesh...beef, chicken, lamb etc.)
and that he refrained from using fragrances and ointments ( yes he did bathe, contrary to some
commentaries). This all happened during the time of Passover. Perhaps Daniel was perceiving the symbolism contained within that feast and perhaps he was well acquainted with Isaiah 53. We are not given a lot of details as to why he was sorrowing, but it is significant that it was during the feast of Passover.

On the 24th of Nisan ( today that date would fall near the end of April , 2006 ) Daniel was given this vision.

There are two heavenly visitors in this chapter 10. The first vision given is that of Our Lord Jesus Christ in His glorified body...in all of His splendor and glory. How do we know that ? Because the description of Jesus is very similar to the description given in the the Book of Revelation 1:12-16.
There is only One person in the whole universe with eyes as lamps and flames of fire and that is our Lord Jesus Christ. Having looked into His eyes would be impressionable for all eternity.
Those are the eyes that Daniel looked into, that is the face Daniel saw. " Seek ye My face" Psalm 27.

" I was in a deep sleep on my face.. toward the ground" ( Daniel 10: 9 )
The vision was so extraordinary that Daniel was slain in the spirit .... just like John was on the Island of Patmos. What does it mean to be slain in the spirit ? It is when the senses of the body can no longer take in the overwhelming experience of being in the Presence of our Lord, and one faints as it were. One falls to the ground. Some theologians call this "ecstasy". For us-- as readers of Scripture--- it conveys the awesomeness of God to mortal man. The aura and presence and vision overwhelm us.

It was very necessary for this final communication of God with Daniel to begin with a vision of the Glorified Jesus. Daniel needed to see Jesus in all of His strength, majesty and power. For horrible things would be shown to Daniel later on, and this vision of Jesus would sustain the prophet in the fact that God is all-powerful and will prevail over all evil, regardless.

We are not to be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good ( Romans 12:21 ). God will overcome evil with good.

Then Daniel realizes that a hand touches him, and puts him on his feet . This is the hand of an angel. The Glorified Jesus is no longer in this vision, and Daniel is now with God's messenger to convey the details of the Great Tribulation. We believe that this angel is Gabriel. We believe he is not mentioned by name here in Scripture because Gabriel was more interested in the message than in the messenger. Gabriel wanted and needed no notoriety. He stood in the presence of God. That was his all-sufficiency.

The heart of man is prone to enthrone anyone with a message...be it of Paul or Apollos or whoever. We put on a pedestal -- and make demi-gods of -- anyone with a word from the Lord. That is the flesh. We are not to give room to the flesh. It is carnal. We are to give room to the Holy Spirit who conveys messages to the Believers. God is to be all in all. We are not to have hero-worship of the who's-who of Bible prophecy. Humility is required.
There are no so called "experts" in the Body of Christ ... just the Holy Spirit teaching the Church through anyone who will listen.
"Listen to what the Spirit says unto the churches " -- Book of Revelation.
"For ye all are brothers" Matthew 23:8.

Gabriel builds up Daniel's confidence to receive the awesome message by saying for a second time," O Daniel, a man greatly beloved". Daniel shows no pride. He did not think that God owed him a further explanation of details from his previous visions. Daniel knew full well how to abound, and how to abase. ( Philippians 4:12) Daniel was always in a state of mind of genuine humility. Gabriel continues to strengthen Daniel for the spiritual journey they are to go on ( just as the angel strengthened Elijah for the physical journey they were to go on.)

Gabriel needed to explain to Daniel ---and to all of us -- the spiritual warfare that goes on in the heavenlies. There really is a battle of Good vs. evil of Light vs. darkness. These concepts are not void words. They are the expressed Person of Jesus. He is the Good and He is the Light. It is His battle , carried out by His sent ones....His messengers ...his angels and saints.
"The battle is the LORD's .... " 1 Samuel 17:47 .......... 2 Chronicles 20:15.

When Satan was cast out of heaven for not worshipping God ( Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28 ), he took
one- third of the angels with him.( Revelation 12:4 ) They are called "fallen angels". But since at one time they were good angels who were apportioned gifts, and since the "gifts are given without repentance" ( Romans 11:29 )
they retained their gifts, even after being expelled from the Highest heaven.

These gifts and titles included : powers, principalities ( territories), mights, thrones and dominions.
Colossians 1:16.
These angels have ranks, and they have influence in the affairs of man, if man gives in to temptation.
These wicked fallen angels--devils-- were given influence over the real estate property here on earth. They ruled over kingdoms, provinces, towns, villages and cities. They were allowed to "traffik", meaning to have course between God and man. ( Job Chapter 2)

They have two areas of expertise: politics and religion. In the political kingdom ( policy-makers) they are the rulers of the darkness of this world...the occult. Ephesians 6:12

In religion, they are the "spiritual wickedness in high places", ( Ephesians 6:12 ) constantly perverting and twisting God's words, just like Satan did in the garden of Eden . "Hath God said ?"

These devils in high places war against the good angels of God ( Rev. 12 ) even though they are outnumbered two to one. They cannot win any victories with man, for God has over come the world the flesh and the devil ( Luke 4, John 16 ). Only man can give Satan power. God took all his power away when He died on the cross on Calvary. But man can choose to follow Satan ( John 8:44) or he can follow God. John 10.

The good angels are thwarted by the devils in their passage from the throne of heaven to earth. They can lose time, but they can never lose the battle, by the grace and will of God. Remember, the devils are outnumbered two to one.

Gabriel conveys to Daniel how he was thwarted for 21 days by "the prince of Persia"...the strong devil over Iran ( where Daniel was residing at Ecbatana). Gabriel could not get his message through to Daniel for three full weeks. Now since this is the same exact time as Daniel's fast, we must conclude that Daniel was "praying through". Daniel had been fasting and praying for an answer to his prayer concerning his people, and he would not stop until he heard from God. That is called "praying through".

The sincerity and commitment of Daniel counted in this spiritual warfare, and Gabriel was able to get through , assisted also by Michael...the other archangel.

How much do we yearn for an answer from God ? Enough to put ourselves into self-denial ? Wholesome self-denial is the litmus test of our commitment and sincerity.
( Self-control, temperence .. also see Isaiah 58 ....

"Is not this the FAST that I have chosen ?
To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens,
and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?"
quit taking advantage of others

" Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out
to thy house"
[ tithing; and being led of the Holy Ghost for discernment in all of our affairs ]

" When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him"
( give alms readily; spiritual meaning : share the Gospel with others )

" and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh"
( help those of your own household first...Charity begins at home, with discernment ).

Daniel tells the angel that he has not the strength to receive the message. He knows in his spirit that if he is allowed to see into the future that he will witness the gravity and depravity of man who resists God, His people and His land. He does not know if he can handle that.

The angel reassures him for a third time of how loved he is by God "O man greatly beloved" ( verse 19) fear not. Peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong."

"And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, "
Let my lord speak ( no capital L here); for thou hast strengthened me".

Gabriel then tells Daniel that he will return to fight the prince of Persia ( Iran) and after the kingdom of Persia has finished its reign, Greece will become the power over the known world. Gabriel is filling in the details for Daniel. He knows the details. Both he and Michael were given this knowledge by God. They are the only two angels who know.

Gabriel calls the Bible 'the Scripture of truth". Truth is always a battle. Many do not want to know the truth, and prefer revisionism and fantasy ( wishful-thinking). They cannot endure reality, having never really matured or having never been brought to fruition. ( Our Lord uses the word "perfect" when referring to maturity and fruition .... "ye are to be perfect".
Ye are to have matured, and to have produced fruit ) John 15.

Are we strengthened in our walk with the Lord to endure "hard" prophecy ? Can we understand that evil must have its day, in order for man not to trust in man ...... ever. ? Can we say along with John the Revelator , "Even so, Come Lord Jesus " !

If we truly understand Jeremiah 17:9,
( " the heart of man is deceitfully wicked and who can know it ? " )
then we are prepared for Daniel 11.
If we are not prepared, we will whine, "Why does God allow evil"? ....... instead of seeing the sweet life extracted from a decaying earth in its throes and woes.

We must make the choice that only a few make who are willing to draw closer to the Lord and partake of the fellowship of His suffering ..... the " Chosen" , who prefer a better resurrection,
( Hebrews 11:35 ) ; who will rule and reign with Him for all eternity. We will see the overcomer who will inherit all things and become the Sons of God.

We are now going to see kings and kingdoms rise and fall. Again, we will sweep beyond
past- history and arrive at Daniel 11:20 and deal with the latter day application
( Scripture having many layers of meanings)

It is important to note that the details given in Daniel 11 were so accurate that non-believing historians falsely claimed that the chapter was written after the fact. Well that just testifies to two things: the heart of man is so hard in the non-believer that prophecy and truth cannot enter in.
" I can't tell you the truth, because you can't handle the truth " ( quoting a modern day movie)

It also tells us that God's imparting of the future is so accurate, it is as sterling silver refined seven times ( Psalm 12).
There is salvation only in Jesus, for He alone fulfills all of the Scriptures.
He is before the fact. He IS the fact, and He will be the fulfillment of all Biblical facts.
He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending.
The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy . Rev. 19:10
There is no Prophet like our Lord Jesus.

Much of Daniel still lies in mystery until the 144, 000 unseal this Book. For now we will ask some questions.

Daniel 11: 20
Will there come a "raiser of taxes" ? ( Global tax declared by the U.N. ? ) When Jesus came the first time there was a global tax under Caesar Augustus. Luke 2.

After the global tax, will the vile person ( antichrist ) rise in global prominence ? Will he try to diplomatically incorporate Israel under his powers ? Israel will refuse diplomatic control, but only for a time.

In the end, antichrist will obtain the kingdom peaceably. He will flatter ( say what Israel wants to hear). But the flatteries are all lies for he will take the kingdom by force and arms. (Dan. 11: 21, 22)
The leader of Israel that signed the false peace with the antichrist will be broken.

The following verses remain a mystery. We do see the "king of the south" as being Egypt.

Daniel 11:31.

As the antichrist takes over Israel by arms and force, "they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength and take away the daily sacrifice". By daily sacrifice it could mean that the foreign army will stop the intifada daily killings, or that antichrist will stop the daily sacrifice of the newly instituted rituals. Time will tell.

The "sanctuary" will become polluted by the placing of the abomination of desolation there. We interpret that to mean that a foreign army will be placed on the Temple Mount that army will be against both Israel and the Palestinians. The army will desolate the people, and therefore be an abomination , having come in the name of peace, yet resulting in takeover and war.

Those of the house of Israel who willfully let themselves be led astray shall be corrupted. They shall turn against the covenant that God made with Israel and instead cleave to antichrist and his lying flatteries.

I AM come in My Father's name and you receive Me not.
If another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." John 5:43

However, "the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits". God always has a Remnant; ( Zechariah 13:8, 9 ) and in the beginning, this Remnant will be able to perform wondrous works.
This Remnant ( and the 144,000) will "understand among the people ( and) shall instruct many".

For a season, this Remnant will spread the Gospel throughout all lands ( being among the people themselves). They will perform miracles. They will proclaim the true Messiah --Yeshua H'Mashiach.
They will tell of His true and Second coming that will take place 1,290 days after the foreign army has taken over from the Temple Mount.

Daniel 11:33

Eventually ( by the permissive will of God ) the antichrist forces will overtake these instructors. They "shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days."

"Now when they shall fall. they shall be helped with a little help, but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.

And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end."

"the mystery of iniquity" 2 Thessalonians 2:7

To belong to God does not make one immune to persecution and death. 2 Timothy 3:12
In fact, it makes one a target for such. In some cases, the righteous are delivered, and in some cases they are delivered through death "preferring a better resurrection" ( Hebrews 11:35 ). We will not know until we are in eternity the whole of the matter.

But we know one thing. The forces of evil will be brought to naught. There is a definite time of the end. It is scheduled by God Almighty on His immovable calendar."it is yet for a time appointed."
You can count on it. "Vengeance is mine saith the Lord ; I WILL repay " Romans 12:19.

Daniel 11:36

Here we come to a more detailed description of the antichrist. He resembles many of the characteristics of Antiochus Epiphanes.

"And the king shall do according to his will ( self-willed); and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods."
This is in perfect alignment with 2 Thessalonians 2: 3, 4 where it says:

"that man of sin ( future antichrist ) be revealed, the son of perdition ( destined for the second death)."who opposes ( God, Israel, nuclear militarism) and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped;
so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

We take this to mean that the coming ruler of global policy ( not yet in that position) will visit the subterranean archeological remains of the Second Temple wherein is kept the Ark of the Covenant with its Mercy-Seat ( lid) . The visiting VIP ( ambassador of peace ? ) will then sit upon the lid of the Ark ( the Mercy-Seat ) in blasphemous mime of the personage of God Himself.

This very act will proclaim himself to be God. Those who have been corrupted by his lying flatteries will be deceived and think that since the antichrist did not die in this act of sacrilege and blasphemy then truly he is God. Those who are deceived are not led of the Holy Ghost. They believe with their eyes, rather than hear with their inner ears. For if they had let the Scriptures speak to their heart, they would have heard the message of Jeremiah 3:16 loud and clear:

"And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days saith the LORD, they shall say no more,
"The ark of the covenant of the LORD:
neither shall it come to mind:
neither shall they remember it;
neither shall they visit it;
neither shall that be done any more."

So the Jewish people are to disregard the Ark of the Covenant with its lid as having
no more application to their religion. The Mercy-Seat represented Calvary. Yeshua has come and has already shed His precious blood upon the altar of Calvary for sins. The Jewish people no longer need the symbol. The Real had come, and has consummated forgiveness.
The REAL Ark of the Covenant is in Heaven, not here on earth.
Hebrews 9:24.

For the VIP to sit on the lid of the Ark is to manipulate artifacts that are now devoid of significance. Those who read their Scriptures ---especially the Book of Hebrews Chapter 9 --- realize that the old and the former are now done away with.

The New Testament, written in the atoning blood of Yeshua is all that matters now. His mercy-seat in heaven proclaims that shed blood upon Calvary. His mercy-seat today is called a "throne". Jesus finished his work of Redemption and sits now at the right hand of the Father. It is up to us on earth to realize the price that He paid ---the Just One for the unjust--- and to ask for mercy and forgiveness, calling out to the throne of God in His holy Temple in heaven.

For those of us who repent of our sins and ask for the atoning blood of Jesus to forgive us our sins, we find redemption.

"This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent" John 6:29

Those who do not believe in Yeshua as the Sent One, the Savior, will believe in the masquerader, the counterfeit-christ, the one voice of global policy.

" I AM come in My Father's name and ye receive Me not; if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." John 5:43

Daniel 11:36

This vile king shall prosper till the indignation shall be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. God is allowing "His strange work (Isaiah 28: 21) ", His "mystery of iniquity"
( 2 Thessalonians 2:7 ) to play out all of its scenes. It will be a witness for time immemorial that man's heart is utterly depraved, and will go the full gamut of rejecting God as far as he is able. But the indignation and the transgression will have an end. Not only at Armageddon ( Rev. 19) but even at the end of the 1,000 years ( Rev. 20).

There is no cure for the depravity of the human heart apart from the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.
No self-determination, will-power or grit can change the corrupted heart of man. Only the loving death of the God-man Yeshua-Jesus can take our stink away. For those who draw upon that blood, there is the sweet aroma of Christ. ( 2 Corinthians 2:15, 16 and Ephesians 5:2 ) For those who do not avail themselves of the efficacy of that blood there remains a foul stench of death.
The Holy Spirit enables us to become overcomers. ( Romans 8 )

Daniel 11:37

This vile king shall not regard the God of his fathers ( any religion), nor the desire of women. We take that to mean that this vile king will not acknowledge a woman's true place in the home and within society but he will cast them into the role of men, as warriors and providers of income. He will forbid the nurturing role of women as mothers and wives. We will become a society of masculine-women and effeminate men ( feminine-men ..."girly-men" ).

This vile king will not regard any god. . No goal or pursuit will have any meaning, but the goals of his ambition. ... "for he shall magnify himself above all".

But in his estate shall he honor the god of forces ( military-might and militarized satellites in space).
and a god whom his fathers knew not ( computerized technology, centric-networking) shall he honor with gold and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things."

Thus shall he do in the most strongholds ( fortresses, bunkers) with a strange god (satan the dragon) whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory."

His militaries will rule over many, and he will divide lands for gain ( starting with Israel).

His opposition will come from the south ( meaning Egypt ? ) and from the North ( Russia ?).

This vile king will overtake many lands. But Jordan will not be overtaken. That is reserved for Christ Jesus alone to avenge. Isaiah 63:1--3 ( Edom, Bozrah)

Egypt will receive full judgement ( Ezekiel 29--32).

"But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt ( archeological antiquities). And the Libyans and Ethiopians shall be at his step.
( they were previously conquered at the time of the Magog invasion).

Daniel 11:44 ... KINGS of the EAST

Now we come to the very end, near the time of Armageddon.
"But tidings out of the east ( China and India etc.)

and out of the North ( Russia) shall trouble him. therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many."

His palace will be in Jerusalem ( between the seas in the glorious mountain...Mt. Zion is between the Mediterranean Sea and the Dead Sea.)

Yet he shall come to his end and none shall help him". ( Rev. 19:20 ).

( Jeremiah 30:7). It is unparalleled in history; it is unprecedented ... Matthew 24:21

Daniel 12:4 "many shall run to and fro "

The Remnant of Israel referred to here are all those whose names are written in the Book of Life.
The Remnant is one-third of the House of Israel. Zechariah 13:8, 9.

Michael the archangel is spoken of here. He is the one that Gabriel ( most likely) mentioned as being in on the whole plan for the people of Israel ( Daniel 10:21). This plan perhaps includes the fact that the archangel Michael will be in the Rapture-scenario, for it says in 1 Thessalonians 4:16:
"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first."

Is it the archangel Michael's shout, his voice and his blast of the trumpet ?

The rapture is referred to here in Daniel 12:2, for it says that many that sleep in the dust of the earth ( those old testament saints ---believing in the Messianic Hope -- who have passed on ) will awake on the Day of Christ Jesus ( the Midnight Rapture) and will receive their glorified bodies for everlasting life. Those who did not rise will realize their shame and everlasting contempt.

While Michael may be the one to blow the trumpet at the Midnight Rapture, tradition holds that Gabriel will blow the trumpet on the Last day.... the resurrection of "the just".

Now during the end times, those that turn many to righteousness are considered to be wise and "shall shine as the brightness of the firmament" (sky, heavens, cosmos ) and as the stars forever and ever."
The Living Bible says that they "will glitter like stars forever" Daniel 12:3
This lumination agrees with what Our Lord says in Matthew 13:43
"Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father ".

Then the messenger tells Daniel to close the book and seal up the words until the time of the end.

The time of the end will find the sheep scattered, as without a shepherd, running to and fro seeking answers. Do not all of us apply ourselves to the Computer Search Engines daily and to books and programs, tapes and CDs for Biblical insights?

THE 144,000
"Knowledge shall be increased" by availing ourselves of those resources. Eventually,the 144,000 of Revelation 7 " shall instruct many " ( Daniel 11:33 ).

Then Daniel sees a person on one side of a river and another person on the other side of the river
( are these the two witnesses of the Great Tribulation .... Elijah and John the Revelator ?)
and they both want to ask our Lord a question. Our Lord is clothed in linen, and was upon the river of waters. One of the persons asks our Lord how long will it be until the end of these wonders?

Daniel 12:7

The Lord Jesus lifts up both of His hands toward heaven and swears by "Him that liveth forever and ever" that the time of Jacob's Trouble, the time of the Great Tribulation will be for 3 and 1/ 2 years ..... "a time" ( one year )," times "( 2 years ) " and a half ". equaling 3 and 1/2 years.

Then Daniel asks the Lord , "What shall be the end of these things?"
And the Lord answers that the book is sealed.

The Lord then reveals that many shall be "purified and made white", meaning that they will be tried, and the dross removed. " gold tried in the fire" Rev. 3:18

And the Lord says that the wicked shall do wickedly, meaning wickedness will abound and will also wax worse and worse. 2 Timothy 3:13
1 John 5:19 tells us that "The whole world lieth in wickedness"

The Lord tells Daniel that none of the wicked will understand. We know from 2 Thessalonians 2:10 that they will eventually perish ( experience the second death )
because "they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

Then Our Lord reassures Daniel that the wise will understand. They will know the truth and the truth will set them free.( John 8:32 ) Even if one suffers martyrdom for Jesus , one will be free forever. The wicked will be in bondage for ever, having only self, and the Lake of Fire.

Then our Lord gives to Daniel a most exacting timetable.
"And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away
( the intifada killings stopped)
and the abomination that maketh desolate set up
( the setting up of the army of desolation on the Temple Mount ),
there shall be 1, 290 days.

Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh to 1,335 days ( 45 more days).

That is the end of the direct revelation by God , and Daniel will stand with his lot at the end of days.


NUMBER of DAYS

A. 1, 260 days for the 2 witnesses -- Rev. 11:3

B. 1, 260 days : Messianic Jews world-wide fed in the wilderness ( symbol of woman)
.................................Rev. 12:6

C. "time ( one year ) , times ( two years ) , and half a time" = 3 and a half years.
.................................Daniel 12:7 time of Jacob's Trouble.
.................................Remnant Israeli Jews nourished by God in the wilderness Rev. 12:14.

Daniel 12:7 is spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ as He raises both hands to heaven and swears by Him that liveth forever ( the Triune God) that the time of Jacob's Trouble ( the Great tribulation) will last for approximately 3 1/2 years.

Why does our Lord use general terms, instead of specific days here ? Because He is talking to a saint from the Old Testament on one side of the river, and to a saint from the New Testament on the other side of the river, as we see it. We believe that one of those saints is Elijah and that the other saint is John the Revelator..... the two witnesses of the Last days. One represents the Old Testament and the other represents the New testament. Both are Jewish, yet John the Revelator has his Gospel for many people and nations, and tongues and kings "( Rev. 10:11 )

We believe that Our Lord used general terms because the approximate 3 1/2 years regarding the Jewish times and the approximate 3 1/2 years regarding the Gentile times would be close in arrangement, but not exactly overlapping. Hence, the larger and more general terminology that fits both is used here.

D. 1, 290 days; exact number of days for the Great Tribulation; Daniel 12:11.
This exceeds A and B by 30 days.

Maybe 2 Thessalonians 2:3 sheds some light on this passage.
Will the man of sin sit in the Temple of God 30 days before he becomes the antichrist ( meaning 30 days prior to receiving his position in the EU ?)

Notice the word "continue" in Revelation 13:5
"And power was given unto him to continue forty and two months "( 1, 260 days).


E. 1, 335 days; an extra 45 day period either before or after the Great Tribulation, signifying something we are unsure about.

The exact number of days for the Great Tribulation ( D ) exceeds the time of hiding in the
wilderness ( B ) and of the 2 witnesses ( A ) by 30 days. These 30 days could overlap part of the unaccounted for 45 days ( E ) , or they could add to the number of unaccounted days making a total of 75 ( 45 + 30 ) unaccounted days
( We do not think they are added to a total of 75 days).

We will choose at this time ( subject to further revelation and insight ) that the 30 days overlaps the 45 days and that all together there are 45 days unaccounted for.

We will suggest at this time ( subject to change) that the 45 extra days precede the 1, 290 days of the Great Tribulation. In other words, 45 days before the desolating foreign army is set up in the Holy Place, there will be notice given of the coming army.

Those who are closely watching and reading the prophetic Scriptures, will know that that 45 day notice given is a significant amount of time according to the Bible. They will prepare themselves accordingly. Those who are already Messianic Jews will prepare for a possible Rapture.
The Jews who are not Biblically into the New Testament --- but fear foreign takeover-- will be in their place 30 days after the takeover.

( Or else they will be in their place at the time of takeover, but run out of food and water 30 days later. At which time, they will be nourished by God. )
For now, that is how we see it.

During those 30 days between the takeover and the wilderness, the 2 witnesses will be protected and will turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers during that time ( Malachi 4:6 ) , calling out a Remnant to be spared. The time period for the 2 witnesses ( as we see it) is from the first day of the Great Tribulation until 30 before the very end, at which time they will be killed.... and three and a half days later they will be resurrected.
Their 3 1/2 days will testify to the fact that they are actually dead. And the numbers 3 1/2 will correspond to their 3 1/2 year Mission-Impossible, that they truly were Sent by God to fulfill His plan and purpose. God never left His hand upon them for a moment.

The time period for those in the wilderness is 30 days after the desolating army is set up on the Temple Mount until the Lord returns to the Mt. of Olives at His second coming.
The 1, 260 days for the 2 witnesses are not the same 1, 260 days of the wilderness Jews, but the timing is close to each incident, as we see it.

All of these times and days are a mystery, and the Book of Daniel is sealed until the 144,000 arise and instruct many. Until then, this is how we see through a glass darkly. Obviously, there needs to be a more Spirit-confirmed explanation of these days.

In Daniel 8:14 there is mention of a 2, 300 day period between the setting up of the desolating foreign army in the Holy Place until the cleansing of the Temple.

We will make an attempt to understand this number of days. Since the Great Tribulation lasts
for 1, 290 days, we will subtract that from 2300, which leaves us 1, 010 days into the Lord's Millennium for the Temple to be cleansed.
Approximately 2 and two thirds of a year ( very rough idea).

Why did our Lord give us the amount of 2,300 days ? Because He wanted us to look past the desolation to His victorious coming and to the rejoicing of a cleansed Temple and new beginning in His Millennium. The forces of evil will be vanquished, and God will be supreme over all. We must have that perspective.

However, writes Mackubin Thomas Owens, an associate dean of academics and professor of national-security affairs at the Naval War College in Newport, R.I., in the National Review, the "units of action" are not supposed to have women in them.
But they do anyway, almost surreptitiously.

In other words, no matter what label the Army uses, units with women in them will be around combat constantly.
Another strong critic of all the DoD maneuvering, Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, says that if new DoD plans on the drawing boards go forward, yet more women will die – or be captured and possibly raped.
