DENYING JESUS AS THE HEALER

In today's world there is a great emphasis upon healing. And there are many people who are sick. We have an epidemic of cancer and all manner of diseases due to our lifestyle, Genetic Engineering of food, additives, poisonous "new wonder vaccines" and drugs , etc.
This onslaught of sickness within our society has driven people to desperately search for healing...especially healing that avoids huge medical expense and is direct ( excluding doctors and hospitals and middle men in general).
Our rule of thumb is this : Pray, seek medical attention when necessary, and leave the results with God. God does work through doctors and hospitals. And still, the credit goes to Jesus, working through His ministers of health.

Now having said that, there are three ways to get miraculous healings, according to our present day options:

1. Pray to Jesus the Healer, asking according to His plan and purpose for your life.

2. Invoke the human spirit by summoning up all of one's desire to live. The human spirit uses alternative health agendas ( holistic healings ), taking placebos, following any regime that determines mind over matter, and self-reliance skills.

3. Occultic healing : Anything that denies Jesus as the one and only Healer. This includes also "Faith-healing".."name it and claim it" healing of and by the Holy Spirit ( Who does not heal, only Jesus heals ). This Holy Spirit healing soon becomes a PRINCIPLE of healing, rather than a personal- healer. They mask the PRINCIPLE of healing under the guise of the Holy Spirit, but soon enough the "empowerment"-concept takes over.

While there may be an interlude of healing from such positive thinking, and by the focusing of all one's energies on wellness, categories 2 and 3 diminish with time, as pointed out below. Only Jesus heals, according to His plan and purpose. Inherent in that truth is the adhesive-love of the Believer who accepts Romans 8:28 --- that ALL things work together for good, because of the bond between Jesus and the one in need.

ABIDING IN JESUS

Currently there are articles out stating that Jesus healed -- not of Himself-- but by the power of the Holy Spirit working through Jesus to perform healings. The audacious claim is that: "Jesus never healed anyone ". This of course relegates Jesus to a mere human being .... as not being our all powerful God Himself . The article claimed that ANYONE can have this power.
Please see Acts 19 : 13-17.
 "We shall be as God" , says the serpent and New Age holistic healing. The "energy principle' resides within the individual, who is taken over by "the spirit", or by the "Christ-principle ". Even the human spirit has healing powers, claims the scientific field, by a will to live, placebos etc.

Does not all this pave the way for the False Prophet and his miracles, ( Rev. 19:20 ) which are "after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders." ?  ( 2 Thessalonians 2: 9 ) 
How so like the magicians of darkness, Jannes and Jambres. 2 Timothy 3:8 . Exodus 7:11, 22 Exodus 8:7, 18 ( third attempt failed )

Well, first of all. Healing is not a technique so you don't have to go to a "school" to learn how. (skip those seminars, books and schools ).

THE TRINITY

Secondly, Jesus healed of His own power, being God Himself ( "I and My Father are One" ). John 10:30
The office of the Holy Spirit is to lead, guide, comfort, convict and reveal truth to our hearts. He never glorifies Himself.
The Holy Spirit is strictly a background Person. All the glory goes to Jesus.

" Howbeit, when He the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all truth:
for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak:
And He will show you things to come.

HE SHALL GLORIFY ME : for HE SHALL RECEIVE OF MINE, and He shall show it unto you."
John 16:13, 14

There you have it in a nutshell. All the gifts of the Holy Ghost are from Jesus. The Holy Spirit shows them to us. ( manifests them to us )
"When He [ Jesus] ascendeth up on high, He [ Jesus ] led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men" Ephesians 4:8

No one can manifest healing  in God's authority without abiding in Jesus.  Some vagabonds in  Acts 19:13-17
tried to heal in the Name of Jesus ( without having a personal relationship with Him ) and they got beat up real bad.
"And fear fell on them all, and the Name of the LORD JESUS was magnified."
Notice the word "LORD" ...  spoken by one who has an obedient personal relationship with Jesus.

The Holy Spirit works in our spiritual department, and the gifts of healing and miracles spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12 refer to the reconciliation of the Believer with Jesus through the power of Holy Ghost conviction, with the Father and Son confirming.
Jesus' Blood is efficacious physically :
"The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up " Matthew 11:5

In Matthew 10 Jesus gave His 12 disciples the grace to heal in His name. And in Luke 10 Jesus distributed His gift of healing to 70of His disciples. These men did not have the power to heal in and of themselves , nor did they "channel" the Holy Spirit. They invoked the name of Jesus and Jesus Himself healed. [ Distance is of no matter : Matthew 8:8 ]

Later at Pentecost Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit as the distributor of Jesus' gifts. We do not "channel" healing through the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit -- as a Paraclete comes alongside of us-- to witness that we do indeed have a personal relationship with Jesus and that our calling upon the Name of Jesus for healing is validated. And all the glory goes only to Jesus.

is able to appropriate that blood-commitment throughout all ( aorist ) time .
Aorist = Something in the past that is ongoing

When Jesus committed Himself to His atoning death for our salvation, He did so before man began.
For Jesus to commit, it is as if already done.
When man commits, he hopes he can accomplish the task.
Jesus' Word, is as His deed.

Source of All Healing : THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST

"And He cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick." Matthew 8:16
"That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet,
"Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses" Matthew 8:17

"And with His stripes we are healed " Isaiah 53:5

"By Whose stripes ye were healed " 1 Peter  2:24.

When Jesus was whipped to shreds, his whole body bled. It was those stripes which opened up the atoning blood that covers our sins and heals our infirmities today. As the song says, " It will never lose its power". Only the blood-covering brings remission from sins, AND remission from disease. Hebrews 9:22

THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST

Jesus has come to mankind in flesh and blood and worked the works of God while on this earth. . Anyone who denies the power of God-come-in-the flesh is antichrist, says First John Chapter 4:3

" He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son" First John Chapter 2: 22
"Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:
but He that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." First John Chapter 2:23.

To attribute the healings performed by Jesus solely to the power of the Holy Ghost is to deny the power of the atoning Blood of Jesus.
It is the spirit of antichrist to bypass the flesh and blood of Jesus and to relegate healing to the spirit world only. That is what technique-healing is all about. That somehow we can open ourselves up to "the Christ-principle" and perform miracles as a god, because we have mastered some technique, and have become "empowered". "Power" is a powerful word. It magnetizes one to the cults and the occultic.

Empowerment is a lie to inflate the ego.. The power is never within us, be it from God or from demons. The source of true miracles is always Jesus, manifested ( shown forth ) by His Spirit. The source of imitation miracles ( called "lying wonders" ) is from Satan and the spirit of demons ( devils ).

"And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
for they are THE SPIRITS OF DEVILS, WORKING MIRACLES, which go forth ..." Rev. 16: 13, 14.

EMMANUEL : GOD WITH US

One recent article states that Jesus could do nothing. Well then somebody that looked like Jesus and talked and walked like Jesus sure did the works that only a God-man could do.
Unfortunately -- as is usual when people blaspheme--this verse is taken out of context. The context is speaking of the union of the Father with the Son.

How then is this verse " I can of mine own self do nothing" (John 5:30 ) to be understood ?  

Jesus -- as a man only ---could do nothing. But as the God-man, He has all power in heaven and on earth. Matthew 28:18.

" But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God ( Jesus IS God; "My Father and I are one" John 10:30 )"then the kingdom of God is come upon you." Matthew 12:28
Jesus did not say, " I cast out devils by the power of the Holy Spirit invested in Me." He didn't say that because the power lay within Himself.
The Holy Spirit was present witnessing to the hearts of the people that God was among them, Jesus the Healer.

"MANIFESTATION" mistaken for Power

We --- as mortals -- have no power in and of ourselves. We can do nothing.
"Apart from Me, ( Jesus ) ye can do nothing " John 15: 4, 5
The work of the Holy Spirit confirms the truth of Jesus Christ to us so that we abide in a loving relationship with Jesus. 
The Holy Spirit SHOWS us Jesus ... our Jesus Who heals people through the manifestation of the Holy Spirit ---NOT by the power of the Holy Spirit ....big difference. It is Jesus alone Who heals since He alone purchased our healing with His own blood .
Rev. 5:9 "Thou art worthy.. for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood."

"For He [ the Holy Spirit ] shall receive of Mine [ Jesus ] and show it ( manifest it ) unto you."

By the God-man Jesus, we are healed. " I and My Father are One. " John 10:30.

We do not USE the Holy Spirit to advance ourselves.  Acts 8:18--24
We must abide in Jesus Christ . John 15.

As we abide in a Blood-bought RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST the Healer, we respond in obedience to the leading of the Holy Ghost to manifest ( show forth .... demonstrate ) this Jesus-Gift.
The Holy Spirit witnesses all of this to us, since He is the Spirit of Truth. We lay on our hands in obedience , the Holy Ghost intercedes and Jesus heals.
But neither we nor the Holy Ghost transmit healing. The Holy Ghost manifests the healing, we are instruments of obedience only.
A generator generates power and when that power is relayed, none of the routers have that power in and of themselves.

We are to worship IN Spirit and in truth ( John 4:24). We Worship the Father and the Son. We do not worship the Spirit, but IN the Spirit. To attribute to the Spirit that which belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ is to worship the Spirit.
"He shall glorify Me" John 16: 13, 14

We are the branches abiding in the Vine. The Vine gives forth healing as we branch forth in obedience. John 15.

WHAT SPIRIT ?

It is only a mere slight of words to go from "Holy Spirit" to "spirit" when it comes to miracles , signs and wonders.
What "spirit" ?  ... of Jesus or of antichrist and the false prophet ( the spirit of devils .... New Age ) ?

The Bible tells us in John 14:12 that we would do greater works than Jesus did on earth. We would not do this of ourselves, but by asking the Father in Jesus name . John 14: 13, 14.
Jesus opened up the flow of healings and exploits, which would be multiplied down through the ages as we abide in Him, calling on His name.

Daniel 11: 32 says that they who KNOW their God shall be strong and do exploits. To KNOW God, one must read His Word and abide in Him. John 15

CONCLUSION

Jesus is the Source of all healing since He purchased that gift with His own Blood.
The Holy Spirit received from Jesus all that was given to Him to be manifested to us. Sound doctrine.
Isn't saying that "Jesus never healed anyone" blasphemous ?  

Jesus may heal a believer immediately, as He did many times in the Gospel and is now doing down through the ages.
Jesus may heal slowly, working on the spiritual healings first, then the physical.

Jesus may heal at the time of our crossing over into eternity.
It is only then that we will see the wisdom of His plan for us and how that plan effected the most good for ourselves and others. We will agree with Him that that was the best plan and purpose.
In all three cases , Jesus' love for the believer is equally intense, and should be returned as equally intense.

" When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee;
and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:
when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned;
neither shall the flame kindle upon thee... for I AM the LORD thy God " -- Isaiah 43:2,3

I love my Jesus. I love Him because He died for me. No one else did that. His blood purchased my pardon, and brings healing to my mind, body , spirit and soul.
