"April 1978 - President Jimmy Carter sends a telegram to the American Humanist Association:
"Those who participate in the annual meeting of the American Humanist Association are furthering a movement that greatly enhances our way of life. The work of your organization in this area is, therefore, especially gratifying to me, and I welcome this opportunity to applaud your important accomplishments."

[ Why is a "born-again Christian" congratulating the humanists?
The "Humanist Manifesto" signed by
Lester Mondale, brother of Vice President Walter Mondale, declares:
"Humanists believe that traditional theism, especially faith in the prayer-hearing God, assumed to love and care for persons, to hear and understand prayers, and to be able to do something about them,
is an unproved and outmoded faith.
No deity will save us; we must save ourselves." ]

Fundamental Rights ( Justice ) signed into EU Charter ( "reform Treaty" ) -- Dec. 12, 2007
"common values" .."Union Law"
"these rights were recognised by the EU Court of Justice on a case by case basis, the new text will provide a proper legal framework for ensuring their respect
The European Union Charter of Fundamental Rights sets out in a single text the whole range of civil, political, economic and social rights of European citizens and all persons resident in the EU, defined as the EU's common values. The purpose of this Charter is to make those principles more visible in order to strengthen the protection of fundamental rights in the light of changes in society, social progress and scientific developments.
These provisions apply to the EU institutions and bodies and to the Member States only when they are implementing Union law. The Charter does not establish any new power for the Union.

Christians equated with radicals
--May 19, 2006
But some Europeans have lately equated the danger of American evangelical fundamentalism's influence on U.S. policy with that posed by radical Islamic fundamentalism.  A European friend put it this way: "In Europe, it is newcomers who are challenging the fundamental values on which our political system is built, whereas in the United States this challenge comes from a core indigenous group's perversion of the founding values of their own system." She added, "I find this even more scary."

New EU human rts. ( Vienna ) alongside old Council of Europe H.R. ( Brussels) -- March 15, 2006
One for general guidelines; one for specifics ( laws )
[
Ed: "Thou shalt love gays and heretical Islam " ]
From 2007, the new EU agency is set to replace the existing European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) in Vienna.
The Vienna centre has provided the EU with information and data on racism,
xenophobia, islamophobia and anti-Semitism since 1998
[
Ed: notice the protection of Islam, the hypocritical mention of Judism and the absence of any protection for Christians ]
The Council of Europe says it is not against the setting up of an EU agency [ Ed: Vienna ] for human rights dealing with community laws,

xenophobia = fearing those of opposite behavior [ Ed: Morals ]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenophobia

The double-standard within "xenophobia" is that gays and extra-terrestrials are to be accepted, while Christians are not to be tolerated. For Christians, gays are living a deviant lifestyle from the norm.
Gays are sinners just like anyone else is a sinner, and unless they repent and come under the atoning blood of Jesus Christ for their sins, they are deviant. We love them through prayer, that they come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
That's more love for them than they have for us.

"Extra-terrestrials" are actually demons. Why would anyone tolerate demons who have only one purpose in mind .. and that is, the destruction of your body and soul forever in hell.
No, as Christians we do not tolerate demons nor unrepentant sin.

2. New UN Human Rights Council to replace Geneva H.R. Commission -- March 15, 2006
The United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday created a new U.N. human rights body, despite objections from the United States.
Sustained applause greeted the announcement of the 170 to 4 vote with 3 abstentions. Joining the United States in a "no" vote were Israel, Marshall Islands and Palau. Abstaining were: Belarus, Iran and Venezuela.
The
new 47-seat U.N. Human Rights Council would replace the 53-country Geneva-based U.N. Human Rights Commission, which in recent years has included some of the world's most abysmal rights violators.

Blair: all you have to do is "incite", and then we can call you a" terrorist" -- Sept. 13, 2005
This starts out looking good, and winds up silencing Christians on their value system
To oppose would be construed as "to incite".
The resolution would place an obligation on all governments to adopt laws that prohibit incitement, deny a safe haven to offenders and "counter violent extremist ideologies, including steps to prevent the subversion of educational, cultural, and religious institutions by terrorists and their supporters".

Commission on Human Rights to have global gay agenda-- April 25, 2003
The resolution is "a historic opportunity to advance [homosexual] issues in international human-rights law," said the San Francisco-based International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, or IGLHRC.

"We don't need to get a moral instruction from Libya and Brazil," she told WorldNetDaily. "It's another reason for us to get out of the U.N."
The IGLHRC said the resolution has the support of Canada, New Zealand and several European Union countries. The homosexual-rights group has urged its backers to lobby five key countries to put the vote over the top: Argentina, Australia, India, South Africa and the United States.

"It is highly likely that gay-rights advocates will use this resolution, if it passes, to advance their agenda to legalize gay marriage and to create hate-crimes legislation," contends A. Scott Loveless, associate professor of law at the World Family Policy Center at Brigham Young University.
"In their quest to legitimize homosexuality, many of these countries have actually limited some of our most fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech," Loveless said, according to a news release by the Catholic group.

US to regain seat on UN Human Rights Commission ...March 16-2002
UNITED NATIONS, March 14 -- The United States will regain a seat on the U.N. Human Rights Commission next year, according to U.S. and European diplomats. A U.S. seat on the Geneva-based body was ensured this week after Spain and Italy withdrew their candidacies, averting the risk of another humiliating defeat for the Bush administration.

Having persuaded Italy and Spain to pull out of the race, the Bush administration formally declared its intention Wednesday to take one of four seats open to members of
the 29-member Western European and Others Group.
[ WEOG ]
Germany, Australia and Ireland will get the remaining vacant slots
