Apocalyptic Hope

Autumn Waits for Spring
by Lori Feichter

I've reached the autumn,
not in a blaze of color
but in shades of wrinkled gray.
The bloom is gone outside
but still the trees are glorious.
My bloom is gone and also my glory.
And yet !
"There is Spring coming!
My hope springs eternal
for that new life without decay.
I will put on my new flesh
as these trees adorn themselves
in garments of gold.I must be well dressed
for my King and Bridegroom.
unspotted, unwrinkled, and dazzingly white.
It is Autumn;
Already, I'm awaiting that Spring.

This poem by Lori seems to reflect a more pertinent time for the Rapture / Resurrection---
at the season of our Lord's Resurrection.

JESUS is our Firstfruit (Bikkurim) of all Resurrections. We rise to meet Him in a certain order.
( 1 Corinthians 15:23),
It would seem fitting that
"the day of Jesus Christ" be in the season of His resurrection.

The title "Autumn Waits for Spring" is so reminiscent of a flower bulb, buried in the ground in the Fall of the year, which rises in all its glory in the Springtime.
So we too, if we die with Him, shall rise with Him.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you,
"Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone:
but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." John 12:24

"the day of Jesus Christ "... Philippians 1:6

"That I may know HIM, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings,
being made comformable unto His death." Philippians 3:10
