Spring meeting of Catholics and Moslems -- Jan. 3, 2008
Three representatives of the Muslim scholars will come to Rome in February or March to prepare for the meeting, the head of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue, Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, told the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano this weekend.
He did not give a date for the larger meeting, except to say it would take place in the spring.
The agenda, he said, would cover three main topics:
1. respect for the dignity of each person, ( Ed: except for those who believe in Jesus as the only way to the Father -- John 14:6 )
2. inter-religious dialogue based on reciprocal understanding, ( Ed: compromising doctrine )

The Old and New Testaments have always been of one book called the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible already contains the Torah,
the first 5 books of the Old Testament. The entire Book of Hebrews explains very clearly that the New Testament is a better testament than that of tradition and symbols (Hebrews 7: 18 ........ Colossians 2:14 ....... Acts 15 )

To bind in one volume the Holy Bible and the Koran is to state that they are on the same level, which they are not.
Only the Holy Bible is God-revealed, inspired by the Holy Ghost from cover to cover.

The Koran is solely man-written ( one person's concepts alone) and was said to be commissioned by an angel.
It was expressly stated 600 years earlier that if any other "gospel" came to man from any other source -- even from an angel--

WCC switches to "consensus" for more inclusiveness --June 23, 2004
Belarus-Poland Orthodox Catholic Church
Chaired by the Steering Committee of the Special Commission on Orthodox Participation in the WCC, attendees to the Belarus reviewed plans for a “progressive introduction of a consensus methodology” as opposed to the current majority-minority vote system currently utilized by the council.
According to the Steering Committee, such a plan would provoke a “new ethos and culture” with the potential
“to strengthen and deepen the fellowship of churches,” since it would overcome the traditional divide between the majority and minority votes.
The WCC general secretary, Rev. Dr Samuel Kobia, also agreed that the consensus approach would strengthen the WCC’s efforts in dialogue and advocacy.

The WCC general secretary met with the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on 16 June 2004. He was accompanied by Metropolitan Filaret and Rev. Leonid Kishkovsky (Orthodox Church in America), a member of the WCC executive committee. ASAN CITY, South Korea – At the next meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations in September, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of the Philippines is to present a formal proposal for the establishment of an
Inter-religious Council at the world body. It would be an institutional part of the United Nations, with status like that of the U.N.'s Economic and Social Council or the Trusteeship Council.

At her meeting with President Bush at the White House in May, Arroyo suggested the United States might want to co-sponsor the proposal. Bush, a practicing Christian with a keen sense of the power of religion, expressed deep interest and asked his national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, to study the matter.
In fact, Rice already knew of the plan. Two of her aides, Karen Brooks and James Moriarty, had already been briefed on the plan by the speaker of the Philippines House of Representatives, Jose de Venecia, who has waged a campaign for such a religious infusion into the work of the United Nations.
