The VeriChip that is placed in the arm for VeriMed and for VeriGuard do not have biological identifiers nearby such as a fingerprint or an iris print, so we doubt that that placement will involve buying and selling. And also since there is an image associated with the Mark of the Beast externally applied near the injected microchip, then the System would desire that the embedded chip be placed where the skin is exposed, such as the hand or forehead.

The VeriMed and VeriGuard systems are
not the VeriPay system. They are not associated with buying and selling.

"The system is here and I already have it. It's solely for access, for safety and so that I can be located at any moment wherever I am," he said, admitting the chip hurt "a little."

The watchman must present what is actually stated in the Bible as a warning for the Mark of the Beast. The Watchman is not a judge. Only God can judge. But one would be wise to not take the embedded microchip ANYWHERE into their body for any purpose. Why be an attaché to a database that is arbitrary and
filled with misconceptions when profiling?

HyperActive Technologies Inc., is testing technology at area fast-food restaurants designed to give kitchen workers a good indication of what customers want before the hungry souls even get close enough to place an order.
The system, known as "HyperActive Bob," is in place in several restaurants around Pittsburgh in a primitive form: It tells employees when they are about to get busy, even how much food to put on the grill

We are free in Jesus Christ to be an individual who relates to his circumstances on a personal level.

Fingerprints and Snowflakes

No two alike--
and we are more than snowflakes.

God makes no clones, no replicas--
only individuals and originals,
In His own image,
all gloriously different.
He named His stars,
how much more His children!
We have been uniquely created,
not mass-produced.
We are the poems of the Great Poet,

the paintings of the Master Artist;
His symphonies--
each one beloved,
No two alike.

Biometric ATM's not being used in the U.S. A. -- Oct. 11, 2005
http://www.ncr.com ..... http://www.diebold.com ....... http://www.ibia.org
Scanning fingerprints or irises to verify an ATM customer's identity has yet to penetrate the U.S. banking market because of concerns about expense and privacy.
Customers must be convinced that the technologies provide more benefit than the card-and-PIN system, which works well, said John Hall, spokesman for the American Bankers Association. The cards also serve functions beyond the ATMs, as debit cards and as advertising for the banks.
"Biometrics is certainly the most secure form of authentication," said Avivah Litan, an analyst with Gartner Inc., a Stamford, Conn.-based technology analysis firm. "It's the hardest to imitate and duplicate."
Later this year, NCR plans to begin selling finger readers to [ Ed: grocery ] stores for use by employees and customers who volunteer. The technology is designed to speed up checkout and to prevent theft. The scans verify which cashiers are operating the registers in case there is missing cash and the identity of managers who approve customer checks.

Computer-Typing Style Identification -- March 2005

Your Typing Style is your Fingerprint
Consider: each person's typing style is unique in overall speed, speed between letter pairs, use of the backspace key, and so on. Profile these typing characteristics for ten people and you, too, can tell who's on the keyboard just by looking at these statistics.
This falls under the category of what I call
"behavioral metrics" for identification of end users. A similar effort is underway by law enforcement authorities to identify people by the way they walk
(no kidding: it's called
"gait analysis" and it's based on the idea that people have unique walks).

ID Systems: "the people would have it so" --- Sept. 16, 2004

A group of pensioners was first in line to have a go at the three "unique personal" identification tests - iris pattern, facial recognition and hi-tech, colour-screen fingerprinting - which may be part of national security's future.

"I saw that the lorry [ mobile unit, truck ] was coming here on the TV last night and I thought what a great idea," Theresia Rawley said, looking forward cheerfully to having her eyes photographed by a machine with a tinny, digitalised American woman's voice. "It's got to be better than having to take your blooming gas bills along when they want proof of identity at the bank or wherever. What's the fuss about identity cards? I was born in Germany, they've had them there all my lifetime and nobody gives it a thought."

I'm all for this sort of thing," she [ another volunteer ] said. "If you're not doing anything wrong, who cares who's watching you. Look in Asda [ store parking lot ] , they've got a notice saying that there's electronic tagging and CCTV to make sure we don't have to pay more because of shoplifting."
The government promises all data collected will be destroyed at the end of the survey. [ yeah right ]

People scorn the thought that God is watching their every action,
but love the thought that men are.

Index finger, RIGHT HAND --Sept. 14, 2004
http://www.rediff.com/news/2004/sep/14cc.htm

BioPay
The system uses biometric technology to electronically capture a customer’s finger image, store a template of the image, and then record check transactions associated with that person. When a subsequent check is presented, the customer places a finger on the biometric reader, prompting the system to search for a match, identify the customer, and deliver a history of transactions, including negative transactions with any other BioPay merchant in the country.
The SecureTouch-n-Pay system
BioBucks
Biometric technologies, which take physical characteristics like fingerprints or facial scans, to electronically identify an individual, are an acceptable means to verify the identity of credit card users, according to 85% of U.S. adults in a new survey.

"People pop their finger down, their picture appears on the screen. No other ID is needed," he said.
The system, from Indivos, Oakland, Calif., uses customers’ fingerprints as a vehicle for processing electronic funds payments like credit cards. Customers register by providing a fingerprint and a PIN (personal identification number) at the point of sale; they access their account by placing their index finger in an Indivos reader attached to the payments terminal. After the fingerprint matches the print stored in the database, the transaction is routed through standard financial networks. Such technology can help limit the number of plastic cards a consumer needs to carry, according to Indivos. -- Michael Garry.

VeriSign 's Unified Authentication -- Sept. 21, 2004
VeriSign's new family of multi-purpose authentication tokens that includes One Time Password (OTP), PKI, and smartcard functionality. VeriSign Unified Authentication integrates with an enterprise's existing IT infrastructure, including leading directory and application servers, to enable organizations to address all strong authentication needs with a single solution.
Strong authentication, which requires users to possess a second, physical factor [ biometric ] in addition to a password, is an essential component in protecting against the various forms of security attacks prevalent today.

The multi-purpose authentication token is also far more flexible than other tokens, working in both plugged mode (via a USB port) and unplugged mode (via One Time Passwords displayed on its LCD.) This hybrid token can be used for Windows log-on; secure access to corporate networks using WLAN or SSL and IPSec VPNs; Web applications; and file and email encryption.
Lastly, by providing a single, integrated, standards-based platform, VeriSign Unified Authentication can serve as the integration point for a wide range of additional authentication mechanisms, allowing an organization to leverage investments in OTP, smartcards, PKI, and other authentication technologies.

VeriSign Unified Authentication is the first offering based on the OATH architecture framework.
OATH is the Initiative for Open Authentication,
which VeriSign and several industry partners announced at the 2004 RSA Conference.
The group's mission is to drive the ubiquity of strong authentication across all networks and devices.
OATH, visit http://www.openauthentication.org/.
Unified Authentication will be available starting September 30, 2004. For More information, see http://www.verisign.com/products-services/security- services/pki/unified-authentication.html .

RSA seed number
Each RSA token contains a unique seed number. Once the token is registered, that seed is used by the AOL server computer to calculate a new six-digit number every 60 seconds. A little computer inside the token generates the same six-digit number at the same time, and flashes it on a small screen. The server and the token are always in synch. To log in, a user types a screen name and password, as before, but also enters the number on the token.

AOL to offer two-factor authentication for computer use --
Sept. 21, 2004
The so-called two-factor authentication scheme, being unveiled Tuesday, will cost $1.95 a month in addition to a one-time $9.95 fee.
Two-factor authentication — whether through the RSA device, biometrics or cards printed with rotating lists of passwords — is common in Scandinavia, Brazil, Singapore and selected countries. In the United States, its use is largely limited to employees accessing office networks remotely, or people with high-value financial portfolios.

Homeland Security and EU adopt CSI biometrics
(PNR and CBP) --Sept. 13, 2004

A next step in making our borders more secure is shared efforts to promote travel document security – to incorporate interoperable biometric indicators on passports and visas. I think we all agree that biometrics can be a useful security tool, allowing us to accurately identify and cross check travelers – and potential terrorists – before they enter our countries.
However, to apply the use of biometrics globally, we must develop a set of international standards for capturing, analyzing, storing, reading and protecting biometric data in order to ensure maximum interoperability between systems, and maximum privacy for our citizens.

In the meantime, we are currently working with participating countries, including many EU countries, in the Visa Waiver Program to develop machine readable passports that incorporate biometric identifiers.
In the three years since 9-11, the European Union has been a steadfast ally in this fight, a partnership that was reaffirmed in late June [ 2004 ] when President Bush signed the EU-U.S. Declaration on Combating Terrorism

Verified Identity Card ( V- ID) Steve Brill
"The answer," Brill continued, "should not be a national I.D. card. It won't work, will be too expensive, and will present the worst kind of threat to our civil liberties. Nor can the answer be simply to have millions of hourly-wage, private guards going through the motions of checking us and our bags as we move through all the bottlenecks of our daily lives. That's the worst of all worlds: no real added security but high expense and intolerable inconvenience and multiple, routine invasions of our privacy.
The V-ID is, I think, the real, long-term, balanced answer."

"Having a V-ID card," Brill explained, "will mean that you are who you say you are and can prove it – if you want to – by presenting a card along with your thumb or fingerprint that will verify that you are the person to whom the card belongs."

"Virtually all of the increased risks we face in today's society begin with a single person or small group of people," said ChoicePoint Chairman and CEO Derek V. Smith. http://www.choicepoint.com/choicepoint/news.nsf/1e81a178107b63b18525687f005493a7/9fa8546ab3f3c2be85256dc8004f529e?OpenDocument

Biometric Cell Phone www.authentec.com
MELBOURNE, Fla. & SEOUL, Korea--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 2004--Cell phone users in Korea for the first time can now use the most convenient form of security -- fingerprint biometrics -- to protect their valued communication devices and conduct wireless banking services.
LG Telecom, one of the largest wireless network operators in Korea, recently launched its first biometric cell phone - the LP3800 - which features the newest fingerprint sensor from AuthenTec, the recognized number one semiconductor provider of fingerprint sensors to the global market. With the simple swipe of a finger, AuthenTec's tiny AES2510 sensor quickly identifies and enables authorized users to access the phone's full capabilities - while locking out thieves and stopping others from accessing the phones important files

and BankON mobile-banking capabilities that allow authorized users to wirelessly access and perform
BankON account transactions using their cell phones.
Unlike other fingerprint technologies, AuthenTec's
TruePrint technology allows fingerprints to be read below the surface of the skin to the live layer -- or true fingerprint. As such, TruePrint is not affected by common skin surface conditions including dry, worn, calloused, dirty or oily skin that can affect other sensors' ability to acquire accurate fingerprint images for user authentication purposes. Uniquely, TruePrint is the only fingerprint sensor technology capable of acquiring everyone's fingerprint under virtually any condition.
TruePrint(R) technology, the first technology to make fingerprint biometrics viable for mass-market adoption.

Financial firms interconnected
The NYSE has also deployed a geographically dispersed fiber-optic routing backbone that would allow equity brokers to maintain connections to the markets in the event of another 9/11-type of attack. Called the Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure (SFTI), it connects more than 600 financial services firms.
