Air passengers could be tagged -- Oct. 13, 2006 ...... ( tracking with web-enabled video )
He said: "In our system, the location can be detected to an accuracy of 1m, and
video and tag data could be merged to give a powerful surveillance capability
But potentially, said Dr Brennan, the tags could aid security by allowing airports to track the movement patterns of passengers
deemed to be suspicious
( Ed: as in 'Minority Report ' ) and prevent them from entering restricted areas
Worshipping the twin gods of science and technology
The most effective means of tackling this is by tackling those opportunities. Science and technology can help us to do this."
Ed: Not so. For all of our modern "progress", crime has increased exponentially. The only deterrent is a changed heart
( Jer. 17:9 ) and only God can do that

Chip in Arm, Reader in ER -- Oct. 16, 2006
"While the federal agency raised concerns in its approval letter to the company about potential health risks associated with the device—including tissue damage—Feldman says none of the 40 patients who have been implanted with the device at Hackensack has reported any adverse effects. He says the chip can be easily removed if the patient so desires."

Ed: This is still not the 666 global economic chip in the right hand or forehead. So technically it is not forbidden. However, I choose to not take it.
All these body-chips are forerunners to the 666 economic chip. Each application wears down resistence to the 666 chip. We must not compromise. We must obey Rev. 14: 9-11.

Speed through the checkout with just a wave of the arm -- Oct. 10, 2006

http://technology.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,20409-2396043,00.html

This is still not the Biblical warning given in Revelation 13 for two reasons, as we see it :
1.  it is not in the right hand or forehead
2. and it is not yet tied to a global financial system under the leadership of the global policy maker ( the beast ).

Rest assured, when the global 666 economic system is in place, it will be required to be placed in the right hand or forehead for easier biological confirmation ( fingerprint and iris scan.)

We realize that "in the arm" is splitting hairs, but it is only for pre-paid debit accounts...not for the open universal banking system
The mere fact that they are boldly stating bodily access to accounts shows how right all of us watchers have been all along, and more importantly how a book of the Bible -- Revelations-- is 100 % accurate, even though written 2,000 years ago.
Who could ever have a track record like that ?
Our God is amazing !

Even though this is not the warning given in Rev. 13, it is way too close for comfort. We must-- even now -- be on the verge of war, and NYC is particularly vulnerable.
Please see the message given in
Rev. 14

IBM store of the future -- Oct. 9, 2006
One of the most interesting technologies at the IBM pavilion was the LaneHawk by Evolution Robotics. Using a high-end camera and sophisticated image-recognition software, the LaneHawk takes a photo of shopping cart contents and looks up UPC codes for the products to send that information to the POS. It’s a high-tech way to cut down on one of the most low-tech forms of loss – the accidental (or intentional) omission of bottom-of-basket products from a sale.
Ed: It's also a good way to monitor one's purchases, since it has image-recognition which most likely is also facial recognition. That way, if a customer makes purchases with cash, the System can identify your buying habits without the "report card" provided by either a subdermal chip or smart card or credit card.
Just one more clever way of tracking and profiling. They leave no way out.

Reader Comment: "
Is it a coincidence that as we have moved away from cash-on-the-nail to cheques, then plastic that more people find themselves in debt? When we handed over cash (I still do), we could see and 'feel' how much this was, but now it goes without a thought. This latest development seems to be another move to divorce us from self-reliance and personal responsibility - a kind of casual aquaintance with money that somehow says it doesn't matter 'it'll come from somewhere'. Dangerous "

Driver's Licenses to become Smart Cards ( main ID card with future applications)

Good ol democratic censorship of the Web
Both smart cards and subdermal chips deliver the info
Websense has a tool that runs weekly risk reports that categorize Internet usage at a client by category, including adult content and bandwidth consumption. Companies can quickly glance at a report and see if anything (or anyone) stands out.
Marriott International Inc. has a system that blocks inappropriate Web sites, according to spokeswoman Stephanie Hampton. It also, like many major companies, has a corporate policy that says the Internet and e-mail should be used for business purposes only. "However, in today's complex world where we blend personal and corporate lives, it is acceptable to use e-mail and Internet for some personal use," she said.

In a study last year of six major companies by the Rand Corp., it was found that all of them [ smart access cards ] stored data about who went where and when, thanks to their radio frequency identification tags. According to "9 to 5: Do You Know if Your Boss Knows Where You Are?" five of the six private-sector companies surveyed said the records collected were used to understand movements of an individual going in and out of the building and to describe the behavior of many individuals without identifying who they were

Microsoft Corp. believes smart cards and PKI-based digital certificates will be central to strong online authentication and has added features to its upcoming Vista operating system that will make it easier to use smart cards with PCs, says the Microsoft executive responsible for the company’s smart card-related technology
vendors of both smart cards and readers can write simple drivers that will allow their products to communicate with applications running on Vista
He says Vista will also have other features making it easier to unblock the personal identification number on a smart card after it has been entered incorrectly, and to allow a single smart card to have multiple credentials for different purposes.

School shooting tragedies...
We do not know on this side why evil is allowed. Someday we will know.
Healing will take place as we all pray for the victims.
May all those who lost loved ones be comforted, especially by the fact that they will see their loved ones again
in heaven.
Prayer - care:
Have we prayed over our children today ... over their schools, our neighborhoods, our cities ?

We must first bind the strongman over these places and ask for the blood-covering of Jesus Christ
and for angelic protection as in Psalm 91.

Prayer ... let's not leave home without it ( whether one is killed or remains, prayer sustains.)

Quoting Brian Rohrbough ( God bless him mightily !!) "free speech" CBS nightly news .... fair educational use

"I'm saddened and shaken by the shooting at an Amish school today, and last week’s school murders.
When my son Dan was murdered on the sidewalk at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999, I hoped that would be the last school shooting. Since that day, I’ve tried to answer the question, "Why did this happen?"
This country is in a moral free-fall. For over two generations, the public school system has taught in a moral vacuum, expelling God from the school and from the government, replacing Him with evolution, where the strong kill the weak, without moral consequences , and life has no inherent value.
We teach there are no absolutes, no right or wrong. And I assure you the murder of innocent children is always wrong, including by abortion. Abortion has diminished the value of children.
Suicide has become an acceptable action and has further emboldened these criminals. And we are seeing an epidemic increase in murder-suicide attacks on our children.
Sadly, our schools are not safe. In fact, we now witness that within our schools.
Our children have become a target of terrorists from within the United States.

Quoting Mr. Rohrbough 2 weeks ago: (Sept.)
But Brian Rohrbough, whose son, Dan, was gunned down on a sidewalk outside the school [ Columbine 1999] , says the game minimalizes what happened at Columbine and glorifies the killers.
"By glorifying the murderers through a video game, it looks like that maybe has, in some way,
impacted someone else to do this kind of crime," he said Tuesday [ Sept. 19, 2006 ... just 1 and 1/2 weeks before Platte Valley and Nickel Mines shootings ]
Rohrbough :
"Ideas have consequences, and everything that happens starts as an idea," he said. "When you glorify the murder of innocent people, you take the responsibility that what you do may influence someone else, as well as cause great harm to others."

As ID tech gets more commerce-prone, there's Crowdstorm (influence) -- Oct. 2006
The idea behind Crowdstorm is that many of us average consumers are capable of helping out a fellow shopper in need. We may not be a paid expert, but we know what works and what doesn’t. Put more glamorously, Crowdstorm is the social network model applied to shopping. Think MySpace for the gadget head. Or, as Crowdstorm founder Philip Wilkinson says, it’s about measuring and making sense of the buzz around products
Reviewers get points for posting new products, Wilkinson says. They also earn more points when users follow their recommendations. The more points a user accumulates, the more credible they become as a source. "The reputation system is purely how trustworthy you are," says Wilkinson.

A Chinese bid for Exxon and/or Chevron and/or a Russian bid for Shell and/or BP, backed by funds provided by the wealthy member countries of Opec seem likely to be only a matter of time.

Professor Odell is considered to be quite conservative but he is a sceptic about the world running out of oil fast.
"The ultimate physical sufficiency of global oil and gas resources is not in doubt so that one can ignore the present-day Jeremiahs," he told Opec ministers.
He believes the need for better order in global markets will eventually lead to the creation of a United Nations International Energy Organisation which will include input from Opec and others.

3 M rfid for tracking medical files at Fort Hood military
Ed: 3 M stands for : Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing
The government is no stranger to RFID. In July, the Army paid $3.76 million to 3M to implement an RFID-based system that will track medical files at its massive Fort Hood Army base in Texas—the military's largest active-duty domestic base. Fort Hood houses the active medical records of more than 150,000 men and women stationed there—and their dependents' records.
http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,2008340,00.asp

3M rfid System : e-Passports; Tax Court too
The idea with the 3M project is to tag and track each file as it moves in and out of a central filing room, to reduce errors in the manual tracking, retrieval, filing and file merging processes within the Army, according to 3M.
TATRC, or Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center, is the unit within the Army that is actually leading the RFID effort.
TATRC is itself a unit of USAMRMC, or the U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command.
During the scope of the three-year project, 3M is charged with choosing and optimizing the best RFID technology for file management, according to a 3M statement.
It's also charged with developing a system that includes shelf-based reading capabilities and with getting a staff onboard to maintain the system.

In addition to the U.S. State Department's issuance of RFID-based ePassports as early as August, the Tax Division of the Department of Justice and the U.S. Tax Court have also taken a run at RFID.
Like the Army, the latter two departments are using RFID to track records as well, and have contracted with 3M for technology.

Brit database not secure

Office staff are hacking into the department's computers, putting at risk the privacy of 40 million people in Britain.
The revelation undermines Government claims that sensitive information being collected for its controversial ID Cards scheme could not fall into criminal hands. The security breaches occurred at the Identity and Passport Service, which is setting up the National Identity Register to provide access to individuals' health, financial and police records as part of the £8billion ID card scheme scheduled to begin in 2008.
Home Affairs spokesman Mark Hunter said: 'These revelations show it is folly to put all the precious personal data of our citizens in one place.

India: Internet cafes require ID cards -- Aug. 22, 2006
Apart from checking identity proof of the user, café owners will now have to maintain a log of the user activity in the café, a new regulation promulgated by Mumbai police has stipulated.
The log book to be maintained by café owners will have details of the users, besides the time during which he or she had used the facility.
The order further warns internet café owners that failure to abide by this promulgation can invite penal action.

LANDLORD COPS
Meanwhile, it will now be mandatory for landlords to inform local police stations about their tenants whom they let out their premises to.
The new regulation will be mandatory for both the tenants and the landlords, and would invite penal action if any of the two violate the regulation

Jimmy Carter disagrees with American policy ( again ) --

Why Apocalyptic Hope opposes ALL political wranglings:
1.
At this point in time, they are counter-productive 2. We have no channel of law or governing body within which to address these concerns ( ineffectual) .... this includes " voting ".
3. movements are usually manipulated.
The movie "From Freedom to Fascism" reveals unalterable changes for the worse in government. It is our belief that it will only stir up discontent and cause greater antagonism between the individual and his government. It falsely gives the impression that there is something that "we the people" can do, yet it will all be counter-productive in the end, because in the end "we the people" have no power.
Dissenters will be imprisoned soon enough...no need to hasten the day.

The real answer to evil is to pray (
Luke 19: 36 ) and to live righteously each day, doing all that one can do within one's own circle. That is not doing nothing...that is using common sense and letting God decide in your heart what to do...not letting others manipulate you. The time will come when you will have to make a personal decision whether or not to go along with directives, but it should be just that ... a personal decision, and not a "movement".

At home or in assemblies :
For 230 years "we the people" have been working consistently for righteousness and yet look around you today. Had the spiritual-assembly houses of America been opened each day for sincere prayer --- within the closet of one's own heart ---and had our pulpits kept us in mental sobriety with REALISTIC , accurate Bible Prophecy -- rather than having musicals and dramatizations--- we would be enlightened, and have no need for movies such as "From Freedom to Fascism".

Jesus gave the command to feed the sheep (applying prophecies that
directly affect an individual person, rather than large overall panoramas ). It isn't just wars and weather phenomenon; nor is church simply entertainment.
Our shining hour was decades ago.It could be
today if there were warnings about financial-technology and the entrapment to come.
" They all slumbered and slept " Matthew 25:5.

Saying the right things at the right time -- Aug. 16, 2006
Professor Sasse aired a number of concerns about the government’s approach to biometrics:
inadequate consultation with industry experts; cursory trials; and an aggressive reaction to academic reports designed to stimulate debate. She also cast doubt on the way the government has costed the project.
Outside the inquiry, she has warned of the vulnerability of a single database holding personal data for the entire population, and of the interoperability problems in store if the government does not decide definitively which departments will be plugged into the system
